About the owners: Ahmad and Cherith Smith started NXT Step Investments, LLC in 2020 right before the pandemic. Real estate had always been a dream of Ahmad's, but the abruptness of COVID-19 was the driving force behind teaching others how to make money from home in real estate. The business simply started with a conversation with Ahmad's father, who already owned a real estate company. His father explained to him the process of wholesaling real estate, and Ahmad quickly attempted to replicate the skill the same day. While he and his wife continued to work as teachers in the virtual society, they realized they could teach others how to do the same. They slowly started to pick up the skill of wholesaling, averaging about $30,000 in their first year in the business. Now, almost two years in, and their "side-hustle" income has more than doubled. Their goal now is to help others learn how to make extra income on the side, and eventually full-time. They are always looking to take the next step in investing!
